Imported from Arizona in 2014 this iconic left hand drive camper has had a full ground up restoration. It’s original solid base benefiting from spending over 40 years of it’s life on one of the dry American states.

The crisp paintwork is in an original V W paint code from 1971, niagra blue, with LD90 pastel white top half. All chrome trim is in remarkable condition.

Inside the van has been totally re-fitted in a westfalia style. All woodwork is covered in oiled olive wood formica with period edge trim and handles. There is a Webco fridge and a Smev stove for cooking. There is storage under the main unit, inside the buddy seat and under the rear bench seat. The upholstery is all in horizon blue vinyl with off white piping. All five seat benefit from seatbelts. The Westfalia walk through perch seat is covered to match and is a great addition. Palm tree curtains were sourced from Hawaii and really set of the rest of the interior giving an individual identity to the van.

The van sleeps five people, with the rear rock and roll seat turning into a double bed, room for two people in the Westfalia pop up roof, finally there is a takedown children’s hammock over the front seats. The van has a stowaway main table and a fold down, buddy table as well as a cool period bamboo self in the cab.

There are some lovely original features mixed with tasteful modern additions. The MCJ 3 hole billet steering wheel is beautifully crafted, Sony stereo with USB port for Iphone, 3 pin sockets with USB which run off the leisure battery. The original louvre windows are a nice option along with the rare side quarter light window and rear jail bars.

The engine bay is sprayed to match the exterior. It runs a brand new 1600 cc aircooled motor with twin port carburetors and electronic ignition which has only covered 4700 miles since new.  The suspension is sitting a few inches lower than stock and running it’s original steel wheels in pastel white with chrome centre caps.
